Living in an area that produced one of the most significant writers of our lifetime, seems appropriate to be surrounded by an abundance of wonderful books, both vintage and new.
Collecting old books is a passion of mine. My collections range from books that were made into movies, such as Gone With The Wind, Please Don’t Eat the Daisies, and Out of Africa, to Victorian children’s books with those wonderful graphics, to Vintage Gardening, to Agatha Christie & Helen MacInnes’ books of intrigue, to early 1900’s murder mystery novels, to those sensual leather-bound books from the 1800’s.
But for those who prefer new to the old, our “What we’re Reading” page will share with you some of the most intriguing books offered by local authors and bookstores.
